XOXO may not be a household name yet among Malaysian fashionistas but the label needs no introduction in New York, where it originated.

The label has arrived on our shores and is now available at 1 Utama new wing.

“We chose 1 Utama because it has a strategic location and exclusive and elegant shops.

“Nevertheless, we have plans to open more outlets in the Klang Valley, and especially KL,” said Yvonne Chai, managing director of Devest Fashion, which brought in the fashion label.

She was speaking at the opening of the 1 Utama outlet recently.

The event was attended by Toh Puan Zurina Kassim, wife of Malacca Governor Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob.

Also present were local artistes and celebrities including top singer Siti Nurhaliza, Marion Caunter and Daphne Iking, who were all clad in offerings from the brand’s latest collection.

Guests were treated to a fashion show of the label’s latest collection.

Well known for its hot, sexy, feminine, glamorous, flirtatious and modern designs, XOXO caters to a wide range of people.

Among those who wear the label are Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Alba, Farah Fawcett, Kathy Griffin, Lindsay Lohan and supermodel Tyra Banks.

“We will place a wide range of items from the label’s collection in upscale retail stores, among the established brands,” Chai said.

The flagship store, which opened at the end of last month, also features XOXO’s range of costume jewellery, footwear, handbags and sunglasses that embody all the signature characteristics of the XOXO style – clean lines and sophisticated colours, exclusive fabrics and exceptional attention to details.

And, they are available at affordable prices, with some of the pieces costing less than RM100.
