TENGKU Zawiyah Tengku Izham, the former wife of Datuk Khalid Mohamad Jiwa or Datuk K, will file a demand for a division of their joint matrimonial property (tuntutan harta sepencarian) at the Syariah Court today, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Among the matters which had initially been agreed upon by both parties were the distribution of three houses – a RM7mil house in Bukit Antarabangsa, which would be given to their children, and two houses in Damansara, which would be handed over to Tengku Zawiyah, the daily reported.
Syariah lawyer Zulkifli Che Yong, representing Tengku Zawiyah, told the daily that he and his team were finalising details of the agreement.
Zulkifli said he would make a separate filing for the demand of mutaah (consolatory gift) at the same court soon.
Khalid, 47, divorced Tengku Zawiyah, 43, on March 12, last year.
They have four children – Mohd Anas, 19; Mohd Adib, 16; Mohd Ashraf, 14, and Mohd Azif, eight.
Khalid or Datuk K will marry pop singer Siti Nurhaliza on Aug 21. The couple’s akad nikah ceremony will be held at Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan.
Meanwhile, unnamed sources told Berita Harian that the couple was expected to hold a bersanding ceremony in Jakarta, to be organised by a friend, after the ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
The paper also contacted Datuk K, who replied that neither he nor Siti had received an invitation to be at the bersanding in Jakarta.
Harian Metro reported that two private television stations were “competing†to air the couple’s grand wedding ceremony.
Both stations were said to have submitted their proposals to Datuk K.
A family member of Datuk K denied that an offer of RM3mil had been made by one of the stations for an exclusive contract.
Kosmo! reported that actress Julia Hana has admitted that she was involved in a fracas with another woman at a shopping complex recently.
The media had previously reported the incident as an argument between an unnamed artiste and a Datin.
The reports said the argument, over the Datin’s husband, ended in a hair-pulling incident.
