Siti: ‘I don’t want to think of such trivial things, which have not hurt my life with my husband one bit’
KUALA LUMPUR: Pop diva Datuk Siti Nurhaliza said the police investigation against her husband does not pose any threat to her marriage.
The case was “unsubstantiated†and “trivialâ€Â, she told reporters at a tribute concert to the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Puan Seri Saloma at the Istana Budaya here on Thursday.
Her husband, Datuk Mohamad Khalid Jiwa, was questioned recently for allegedly assaulting 18-year-old Muhammad Kasheef Harris, who claimed to be a close friend of one of his sons.
The youth lodged a police report on March 20 that he suffered injuries to his mouth and bruises on his left eye because of the alleged assault a week earlier.
“I do not want to comment as the allegation has not been substantiated,†said Siti.
“I don’t want to think of such trivial things, which have not hurt my life with my husband one bit.
“Anything that is as illogical as this will not hurt me and I don’t feel stressful about it at all,†she added.
Asked about her life, which has been hit with a number of controversies, she said all that had happened had been fated and she had dealt with them in a professional way.
“Maybe, Allah loves Siti and for this reason, He sends along a lot of trials and tribulations.
“I accept all that is good and things that are not good, I ignore.â€Â
Khalid’s sister, Zaiton, said her brother and the rest of their family were still in shock over the assault reports.
